House of Hope Church

Mission & Outreach

Put faith into action.

At House of Hope, we send people into the neighborhood, community, and world—equipped in both heart and mind—to feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the naked, and comfort the afflicted.

Through service, advocacy, education, and community partnerships, we respond to present needs and build hope for the future.

Hunger & food security

House of Hope Community Garden

Help respond to immediate hunger and the conditions that cause it. House of Hope supports food pantries, prepares meals through Loaves and Fishes, and grows fresh produce in the Community Garden.

Garden volunteers plant, tend, and harvest vegetables for Neighborhood House and Hallie Q. Brown Community Center.

Peace & justice

Peacemaking and striving for social justice are key to House of Hope’s mission locally, nationally, and internationally. The Peace and Justice Committee provides education, identifies issues for advocacy, and brings opportunities for action to the congregation.

Its work is nonpartisan, recognizing that people of good will may differ in their approaches and solutions.
