National Night Out

August 4 @ 8:00 am8:30 pm

It’s time for the 42nd Annual National Night Out hosted by House of Hope!

On Tuesday, August 4th, House of Hope will once again host the 42nd Annual National Night Out celebration. This fun, free community event originated in an attempt to reduce crime and strengthen neighborhoods. Whether you own a home, rent, or have a small business in the neighborhood, everyone is welcome to this family-friendly event. The goal is for neighbors to have a space to meet one another, socialize, and work together to reduce crime and improve safety in our neighborhood.

Since 2007, House of Hope has hosted the largest National Night Out celebration in St. Paul in the Summit-University Subdistrict E Neighborhood. This event has become a neighborhood favorite, attracting over 350 attendees who enjoy free food, fun activities, a photo booth, a sweet treats walk, door prizes, and musical entertainment. It also provides a valuable opportunity to connect with neighbors, elected officials, law enforcement, and representatives from various neighborhood programs.

Participants can engage with organizations such as the YWCA Transitional Housing Program, Women’s Advocates, Ujamaa Place, the Jeremiah Project, Ain Dah Yung, Mino Oski Ain Dah Yung, and Prior Crossing residents and families. This is an excellent chance to build relationships with fellow congregation members, immediate neighbors, community and elected leaders, and first responders. Attendees will enjoy food, activities, and entertainment while learning about crime prevention, safety issues, and community resources to build safe neighborhoods.

Ways to help:

If you don’t have a National Night Out event in your neighborhood, you are welcome to join the celebration hosted by House of Hope, and there are a variety of opportunities to help.
