“Struggles Over the Melting Arctic” with Christi Siver
The Arctic is experiencing changes as a result of global warming. The region is of strategic importance to the Arctic nations and, increasingly, to the non-Arctic countries for natural resources, navigation, and industrial development. How might the U.S. work with its allies to advance its interests in the region?
Christi Siver teaches courses on international relations and international security at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University. Her research interests are in international humanitarian law and military technology.
