Lisa Gidlow Moriarty, artist, spiritual director and professional labyrinth maker, will join us to share an introduction to labyrinths as we commemorate the arrival of HOH’s new portable labyrinth.

Labyrinths are ancient symbols that are experiencing a resurgence of interest in response to the needs of our contemporary society. Through a photographic journey, we will explore the history of these meandering images from earliest known rock carvings to Gothic cathedral placements and to unique expressions that are being created today. How are these rediscovered paths being used? Where can they be found? Why are there so many in our immediate area?  These and other questions will be explored. Then experience labyrinths, walk a canvas labyrinth and try a variety of finger labyrinths. This is a fun, hands-on class. No prior knowledge or experience needed. Come join us as we explore the fascinating world of labyrinths.
