On September 19, a group of 26 from House of Hope gathered at the Dublin airport to begin a time of pilgrimage travel. We visited Clonmacnoise, a number of sites on the Aran island of Inishmore, did a walking tour of Galway City, and visited the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. The trip ended with a stay at Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains and a tour including the Book of Kells in Dublin. We engaged this post-pandemic world in varied ways; at the same time, the people, our spiritual guides, myths, stories, and beauty of Ireland provided a welcoming embrace. We look forward to sharing our pilgrimage and some of Ireland’s music. |
