DESCRIPTION:WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY begins September 9th\, 9:30-10:30am\nROOM 1 (and on Zoom)\n \nBRING A BIBLE & AN OPEN MIND & HEART\n********************\n \nIn our Wednesday morning Bible Study\, we use the Common Lectionary with scripture readings for each Sunday in a three-year cycle.  Each yearly cycle of readings and psalms begins with the First Sunday of Advent.  We are currently in Year A\, which includes four readings: \na reading from the Hebrew Scriptures\, \n     a psalm\, \n         a Gospel reading (currently Matthew) \n             and an epistle.   \n\nOne of the intents of a Lectionary is to provide for use of the whole range of scripture in the church’s worship.  The Lectionary for Sundays embodies a semi-continuous reading of much of the Bible during Ordinary Time\, while embracing a select lectionary for the Christmas and Easter cycles and certain other festivals.  Each spring the Wednesday Bible Study group usually discusses a book to deepen our biblical understanding and our walk in faith together.   \n\nAll are welcome to join us.  Questions?  Contact Rev.
