“The DaVinci Code” at The House of Hope
St. Paul, MN . . . . October 8, 2004 . . . . On Sunday, October 31, 2004, well-known theologian and scholar Dr. V. Bruce Rigdon will offer a lecture on Dan Brown’s novel The DaVinci Code - exploring fact, fiction, and faith, and the impact of this book and its popularity. The public is invited to the lecture, which will be held in the main sanctuary of The House of Hope Presbyterian Church at 4:00 p.m. Dr. Rigdon will also preach at the worship services at 9:00 and 11:00 that morning. Dr. Rigdon is an author, consultant, and a narrator of network television films on the Russian Orthodox Church, and served as a primary contact between Eastern and Western Christians during the Cold War. From 1965-1988, Dr. Rigdon was on the faculty of McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, concluding his teaching there as Professor of Church History. The House of Hope Presbyterian Church is located at 797 Summit Avenue in St. Paul, at the corner of Avon Street and Summit Avenue. Parking is available in the lot immediately north of the church on Portland Avenue or across from the church on the south side of Summit Avenue.
