“BENEVOLENCE BASH” FOR MISSION

House of Hope to sponsor fund-raiser for outreach and mission programs on September 26, 2004

St. Paul, MN . . . September 15, 2004 . . . On Sunday, September 26, 2004, The House of Hope Presbyterian Church will host the second annual “Benevolence Bash,” following worship, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. in the church parking lot on the corner of Portland Avenue and Avon Street in St. Paul. Special programs for children will begin at 11:00 a.m. The “Benevolence Bash” is open to the public.

There will be food, games, and a silent and live auction, the proceeds of which will benefit mission and outreach programs. The Dave Andrews Band will provide music for listening and dancing. Some of the programs that the church supports include the “Family Night Out,” a project which provides fun activities for single parents and their children; “The Family Place,” a family day shelter for homeless children; and “Loaves and Fishes,” a long-established program which provides meals on a regular basis for neighbors in need. Global mission projects include “El Saray,” a school serving disabled children in Alexandria, Egypt, and a mission to the Malungeni community in South Africa.

The House of Hope Presbyterian Church is located on the corner of Summit Avenue and Avon Street in St. Paul. Parking is available on the street or in the parking lot across from the church on the south side of Summit Avenue. Portland Avenue between Avon and Grotto Streets will be closed for the event.
