House of Hope to sponsor fund-raiser for outreach
and mission programs on September 14, 2003
St. Paul, MN . . . August 25, 2003 . . . On Sunday, September 14, 2003, The House of Hope Presbyterian Church will host a "Benevolence Bash," following worship, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the church. Special programs for children will begin at 11:00 a.m. The "Benevolence Bash" is open to the public. There will be food, games and a silent and live auction, the proceeds of which will benefit mission and outreach programs. Some of the programs that the church supports include the "Family Night Out," a project which provides fun activities for single parents and their children; "The Family Place," a family day shelter for homeless children; and "Loaves and Fishes," a long-established program which provides meals on a regular basis for neighbors in need. Global mission projects include "El Saray," a school serving disabled children in Alexandria, Egypt, and a mission to the Malungeni community in South Africa.
