Press ReleaseThe House of Hope Presbyterian Church RAISING RESILIENT CHILDREN IN A RISKY WORLD. St. Paul, MN . . . . August 23, 2002 . . . . Noted psychologist and child-care expert, Dr. Marti Erickson, will be the guest speaker at an adult education forum on Sunday, September 15, 2002, at The House of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. Dr. Erickson is a developmental psychologist specializing in parent-child attachment, child abuse prevention, and community-based approaches to strengthening families. She is the Director of the University of Minnesota Children, Youth and Family Consortium. Dr. Erickson is the author of many journal articles and book chapters, as well as a weekly parenting column “Growing Concerns,” which appears in newspapers and magazines around the country. She appears on television as the child and family expert on the KARE-11 “Today” and “Sunrise” shows. Dr. Erickson’s topic is “Raising Resilient Children in a Risky World.” She will speak at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Library, on Sunday, September 15, 2002. The public is invited to attend. The House of Hope Presbyterian Church is located at 797 Summit Avenue at Avon Street in St. Paul.
