Press ReleaseThe House of Hope Presbyterian Church DIRECTOR OF CORRYMEELA COMMUNITY St. Paul, MN . . . May 28, 2002 . . . The Rev. Trevor Williams, director of the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland will speak about the ministry program of this peacemaking and reconciliation center at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, at The House of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. Through its reconciling work with Catholics and Protestants, Corrymeela has become an internationally recognized leader in the quest to build harmony and understanding between warring factions in strife-torn areas of the world. Rev. Williams’ message of the Christian commitment to reconciliation and the search for peace is particularly timely for people of all faiths. Founded in 1965 with forty members, the Corrymeela Community has centers in Belfast and Ballycastle, and now numbers its membership in the thousands. The program will be held in the Kirk Parlour. The House of Hope Presbyterian Church is located at 797 Summit Avenue at Avon Street in St. Paul. Parking is available in the lot north of the church on Portland Avenue, as well as in the lot across from the church on Summit Avenue. The Kirk Parlour is accessible through the entrances on the Portland Avenue side of the church. The public is invited.
