The House of Hope Presbyterian Church has a longstanding tradition of exploring and celebrating God's glory through music, art, and intellectually challenging sermons. In celebration of the church's 150th anniversary (2000), Daryl Smith of Seattle, Washington, was commissioned to create "The Spirit of Hope"; a stunning bronze sculpture mounted on a plinth of Rockville White granite. Located on historic Summit Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota, the House of Hope's programs in learning, fellowship and service extend the reach of the church into the broader community. The House of Hope is also internationally known for its Fisk organ, a landmark of late 20th-Century organ building in America. From September through May, there are two Sunday worship services: 8:30 in the Elizabeth Chapel and 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Beginning Memorial Day weekend, through Labor Day weekend, there is one Sunday service at 10 a.m. The church welcomes visitors of all backgrounds and ages. Services include a Time For Children (10 a.m. service only), which is followed by church school during the service times. Adult education is held following the 10 a.m. service, September through May. "Music at Four" is a concert series offered many Sunday afternoons.
